Pilates

Pilates has many benefits and uses your body’s own resistance to improve muscle tone, flexibility and posture. Pilates improves posture and circulation, if practiced on a regular basis. Some classes use resistance equipment to add that further challenge to the low impact workout for example bands, balls, foam rollers etc. Pilates can be used in conjunction with a weight loss program combined with diet, or cardiovascular activities like swimming, cycling, dancing or walking.

If you are recovering from injury then Pilates can help aiding in your rehabilitation maybe in conjunction with your Physiotherapist, Osteopath or Chiropractor.

Are you having a baby or have had a baby recently? If so, Pilates can help with getting back into shape and improving the pelvic floor and tummy muscles. Please see the pregnancy and Pilates page.

Group classes of up to 10 people, Private 121’s, duets and trio lessons are available. The level of classes are beginner all the way through to advanced matwork. Classes are booked either six weekly, monthly or by school term. Beginners are recommended to attend a small studio class or 121 to learn the fundamentals of Pilates so that they can gain the most out of a beginner and improver mixed ability group class.
